You plant the seeds.
You water carefully.
You wait.
Then a few days later, you’re leaning over the tray thinking:
“Okay… what’s wrong here?”
If you’ve ever struggled with starting your own seeds, you’re in good company. Me, too. Especially at the beginning. Though even now, 40 years later, plants throw me for a loop.

Why Seed Starting Feels So Confusing
The greenhouse you see in the photo is my happy place. But it didn’t always feel that way. I’ve had plenty of moments staring at a flat of seedlings, wondering, "What did I do wrong?"
And I hear this from gardeners all the time.
You want to start seeds indoors. You want strong, healthy seedlings, right?. But the advice in books, online, across the fence, is overwhelming. One expert says to start eight weeks early. Another says six. One says use heat mats. Your neighbor says don’t bother.
Suddenly something that should feel fun and hopeful feels, well, stressful.
Sometimes the confusion is enough to stop people from trying at all. And that’s a shame—because growing from seed not only help you put healthy food on the table, it builds confidence in the process.
And that's a good thing, especially for the grandkids.
How to Grow Strong, Healthy Seedlings With Confidence
That’s why I focus on teaching seed starting in a clear, practical way, from real-life experience—so you’re not second-guessing every sprout.
Right now, I’m gathering feedback to make my seed-starting workshop even more helpful. If you’re willing to share a few quick thoughts, I would truly appreciate it.
As a thank-you, you’ll receive a complimentary “Guided Meditation for Gardeners”—a short, calming reset designed to ease stress and bring you back to the joy of growing.
