Natural Slug Control: What Really Works?

And how to protect your plants—without resorting to slug pellets or bait...

controlling slugs

After 40 years of gardening, I've decided that few garden problems are as frustrating as waking up to find healthy seedlings reduced to stubs overnight.

When that happens, many gardeners reach for slug pellets. I don't.

Over the years, I've found that you can dramatically reduce slug damage without relying on chemicals or trying to eliminate every slug in the garden. Some methods work better than others, and a few popular remedies aren't nearly as effective as their reputation suggests.

In my newest video, I'll show you:

  • Why are not all slugs bad (even leopard slugs!)
  • Which natural methods are worth trying
  • A few common slug-control myths
  • One surprisingly simple technique that has protected more of my vegetables and flowers than almost anything else. I'm not kidding.

It's probably not the method you're expecting, but it works!

You can watch the video here:

Have you discovered a natural way to keep slugs under control? I'd love to hear what has worked in your garden.

For that matter, which garden pest tries your patience the most?

Thanks for being here... and for being you,
